With the "Mover", Hilber Solar succeeded in 2003 in creating just such a revolutionary gamechanger. The Mover is a photovoltaic system that follows the path of the sun, enabling constant energy production throughout the day. And it's not just the patent forge, our industry-leading partners make our products even better!

Franz Hilber started Hilber Solar company in 1991

Franz Hilber, born in Tyrol, was already intensively involved with solar technology in 1991. As a self-employed façade and metal builder, he took on the planning and installation of the first photovoltaic systems

The awards he received in Toronto and Rome strengthened his determination to develop photovoltaic solutions. In 2003, Franz Hilber revolutionised the market with the development of the "MOVER": the

Mover is a photovoltaic system that follows the path of the sun and thus enables constant energy production throughout the day. Since 2012, Franz and Thomas Hilber have been working together with their team of engineers and industry-leading strategic partners ondemand-oriented photovoltaic solutions.

Our company history

1991

Franz Hilber starts with the production/installation of PV systems in Austria - in the following years also in Germany (government quarter) and installation of solar systems worldwide

2003

Development of the PV 2-axis tracking system MOVER.

2006

Merger with SOLON AG, Germany and formation of SOLON HILBER Technology.

2009

Spin-off of the research and development department of SOLON HILBER into HILBER SOLAR with the additional focus on planning, manufacturing and product sales to private and industrial customers

2012

Closure of the SOLON Mover production facility in Austria and introduction of the Solwing product line

2016

Training and commissioning at one of the largest Solwing Single Axis Tracker in Egypt

2020

Spin-off in the form of a joint venture of Agri Solar products in Berlin with the company AgroSolar Europe GmbH

2022

Spin-off in the form of a joint venture of the mobile solar container with the company SolarCont GmbH in Stritzing, Upper Austria

Expansion of development location HILBER SOLAR Trins with a focus onPlanning, Research & DevelopmentProduct distribution to private and industrial customers worldwide- International know-how partnerships

2020

If the economic viability is demonstrated, the awarding of a license production from our joint venture companies can become a topic.
